About Me
I'm a dependable, hard-working educator and information professional eager to start a new career focused on design.
Early in my career I worked in marketing for two major publishing houses, which is where I was first introduced to graphic design. When I moved to Maine in 2002, I enrolled at Maine College of Art and Design to make a career change, but I was unable to complete my degree at that time.
In the intervening years, I became certified as an English teacher and I recieved a Master's degree in library science, but I've never been able to let go of my original goal.
So in the winter of 2022, I enrolled in the certificate program at the Rhode Island School of Design, where I will graduate with a Certificate of Graphic Design in the fall of 2024. With this certificate, I will have foundational learning in brand strategy and implementation across print, digital and interactive media.
I love learning and I'm excited to apply my diverse skill set to design challenges that will allow me to problem solve and create as a member of a vibrant team.
